BLURB:
We come from two different worlds.
I’m from the streets. She might as well live in an ivory tower.
I made my living with my fists. I doubt she could even throw a punch.
Our paths never should have crossed.
We never should have met.
That doesn’t change the facts.
I would sell my soul to taste those red lips.
Fight the devil himself to hear her laugh.
Burn in hell to have a single night.
Scarlett Priest shouldn’t even know men like me exist, but sometimes temptation is stronger than will.
If this is how I go down, it’ll be worth every second of the fall.

MY REVIEW

The Fall of Legend is the first book in the Legend Trilogy and its heart-gripping. Once again Meghan March has written a captivating story that kept me glued to the pages until the last words.

Gabriel and Scarlett couldn't be more different. He is a former MMA fighter that is used to living in the shadows. He worked hard to build a name for himself, one that will help him bring down his enemies. And Scarlett comes from money, her mother was a famous model and her father is a well-known businessman. She is a social media influencer with a perfect life (or so everybody thinks). She has always steered clear of danger and never got involved with shady men. But when Gabriel's night club business starts to crumble, he finds himself needing Scarlett's help, and she ends up in a position in which she can't say no to him.

"My voice goes silent as I stare into the bluest eyes I've ever seen. He could make a fortune off those eyes alone."

There is an instant connection between them from the moment they lay eyes on each other. A magnetic pull that neither of them can't shake off. They are both stubborn in the beginning trying to deny this insane attraction, most of all Gabriel who has his motives to keep his distance from Scarlett. His world is dangerous, bad people are trying to bring him down, and he wants to protect her at all cost. But Scarlett manages to lower his barriers, she's sweet and kind but also strong-headed, passionate about her job and fully determined to get his club back on track. When the two of them finally get together they're like a volcano, their chemistry is explosive.

"You'll always be what I want most. But I can't have you."

Told from dual POV, the story starts off a bit slow but the plot is definitely interesting and the protagonists are well contoured and relatable. As with all of Meghan's novels, this one also has some very badass secondary characters. I absolutely adored Scarlett's squad. Those girls are feisty and fierce, they always look out for each other. The book ends with a dramatic cliffhanger that left me hungry for more and I'm looking forward to seeing how things will continue in the next installment.

This was a bit of a slow burn romance, but even so, I savored each word. I recommend giving it a try, you will fall in love with Legend!
