Vaughn Spencer.
They call him an angry god.
To me, he is nothing but a heartless prince.
His parents rule this town, its police, every citizen and boutique on Main Street.
All I own is a nice, juicy grudge against him for that time he almost killed me.
Between hooking up with a different girl every weekend, breaking hearts, noses and rules, Vaughn also finds the time to bully little ole’ me.
I fight back, tooth and nail, never expecting him to chase me across the ocean after we graduate high school.
But here he is, living with me in a dark, looming castle on the outskirts of London.
A fellow intern. A prodigal sculptor. A bloody genius.
They say this place is haunted, and it is.
Carlisle Castle hides two of our most awful secrets.
Vaughn thinks he can kill the ghosts of his past, but what he doesn’t know? It’s my heart he’s slaying.

MY REVIEW

OMG, L.J Shen did it again. The third book in the All Saints High series, Angry God, was a great read. I definitely wasn't prepared for the force of nature that is Vaughn Spencer. The drama, the angst, the smart and funny dialogue, everything was beautifully written.

“I’d never met a god who bled so often.”

Vaughn and Lenora's relationship is like a tornado. They're constantly at each other's throats, and Vaughn takes pleasure in tormenting her every chance he gets. They've been enemies for a long time, but at the same time, there's a pull between them and a connection that both try really hard not to acknowledge. They're both jaded souls, Vaughn carries the burden of a dark secret and Lenora hasn't been the same person since losing her mom. Each tries to cope with their situation the only way they can, rebelling and putting up walls around their hearts.

"We were an unfinished business, personal and always walking the tight rope between love and hate."

I love Lenora so much. She is feisty and strong-headed, but also sweet and considerate. And Vaugh is arrogant and the perfect representation of a brooding artist. His constant angry state of existing makes him that more interesting. It was beautiful to see his cold facade crumble down bit by bit in Lenora's presence. They're like two peas in a pod, the perfect match. They have such a great dynamic and the sexual chemistry is off the charts. I couldn't get enough off their banter and sarcastic remarks.

"I was born with an insatiable appetite for destruction."

Told from dual POV, with an interesting plot and a lot of tense moments, Angry God kept me glued to the pages until the end. There are some darker notes in this book, compared to the rest of the series but that only made the story more appealing. I love it and I highly recommend it!
