An enthralling enemies to lovers romance set in the mafia world of Colors and Crime. Ink is a great addition to the series. Angsty, suspenseful, and full of steamy moments, this is a quick read you won't be able to put down.
Mila and Roman have history. They've known each other since high school. He was a major bully, always picking on her for no apparent reason. Five years after graduation, Mila finds herself in Paris, interviewing for a job as a journalist. She gets the job and her first assignment is to write an article about the new casino opening in the city. Seems pretty easy, until she discovers that the owner of the said casino is no other than the infamous Roman Turgenev, who is now the head of the Bratva, here in Paris. She needs to work with Roman and put aside their differences, but that seems easier said than done because he is still the same infuriating bully she remembers from high school.
The mafia elements are more subtle in this story, but nonetheless, it's not lacking danger and suspense. I love Mila, she's strong-headed, feisty and brave, she doesn't back down from a challenge, she's a perfect match for Roman. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot and their banter was delightful. Roman loses his head every time he's near Mila, becoming all possessive and protective. The story is fast-paced, but there was still room for character development. It was engaging, sexy, and had plenty of steam. I recommend it to those who love bully romance with mafia ties!
