MY REVIEW
Rating⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
A perfect finale to a wonderful series. This book ticked all the boxes for me. It was suspenseful, heart-gripping, romantic and emotional. The writing style was easy to follow and expressive and I found myself reading it in one sitting.
The characters were well developed and relatable. I loved how the relationship between Dom and Lara developed. He comes from one of the most feared Bratva families. The Petrov's are a force to be reckoned in the mafia world, and Dom was supposed to be all dark and dangerous, but with Lara, he showed his soft side. His protectiveness towards her was heart-melting, he would have done anything to keep her safe. And Lara was such an amazing girl. Growing up in a mafia family was hard, especially with an abusive father, who only wanted to marry her to the highest bidder. But even so, she kept her innocence, and she was still kind and carrying. I loved her fierceness and determination to get justice for everything she went through all her life.
The story is told from the perspective of both protagonists which made it more entertaining. The action was fairly paced, with enough angst, sweet moments and plot development to keep my interest until the end. I loved seeing again Ivan and Sloane from Emerald, they added salt and pepper to the storyline. And the epilogue was just perfect. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I'm, looking forward to reading more from this author!
