This series gets better and better with each book. Each and every one of the Inferno men is unique and alluring and it's hard not to be enamoured by them. Lily White's masterful writing style pulls at your heartstrings making you go through a rollercoaster of emotions.
Emilly's relationship with Erza and Damon is complicated. What started out as 6 weeks of fun in their last year of high school, turned into an of heartache a decade later. It was just a game and they were not supposed to fall in love, but the heart wants what the heart wants and when two dangerously gorgeous men worshipped at her feet, Emilly didn't stand a chance in keeping her heart intact. But loving someone and being in love can be very different. She loves both twins but her connection with Erza is special. The pull between them has always been stronger, they're chemistry sizzling each time they touched. And even after ten years apart, that intensity hasn't dialled down. The moment they reconnect it's impossible for Emilly to resist falling even more for him, but at the same time, she needs to keep her distance because choosing Erza means breaking Damon's heart, and the last thing she wants is for the twins to fight over her.
Secrets, lies, twist and turns, drama, suspense and scorching hot sexy times, this book has it all. Emotion pours out of the ages and oh, how my heart ached for these characters. We get a ride into the past and get to know more about the twins and what they had to endure growing up with an abusive and cruel father. I could finally understand Erza's cold and violent demeanour. He bottles up his emotions until chaos erupts. The only one who can soothe the monster inside him is Emilly. She may seem sweet and buttoned up but there's fire in her veins, and her fierce and feisty side comes out every time she sees Ezra hurt. And then there's Damon, who is the opposite of Ezra, he doesn't hesitate to vocalize his feelings. There's an equilibrium between the two brothers, they keep each other in check and balanced, even when they fight.
This is a book that will take you by surprise and hit you hard in the feels when you least expect it. Some parts of this story are raw and gritty and they pack an emotional punch. I am eagerly waiting for the next instalment in the series!
