This second standalone book in the series follows Killian, Liam Black's twin brother, and I was really excited to read it. I liked the chemistry and the banter between the protagonists, though there were moments when I got annoyed by Juliet's whiny behaviour. Killian is the epitome of an alpha male, he's dark, dangerous and highly intelligent. He can be both deadly and romantic, and that made me love him a lot. While I enjoyed the story, I wanted more plot development. 70% of the book was just Killian trying to convince Juliet to be with him and her pushing him away because she has trust issues. Nonetheless, it was an entertaining and steamy instalove story.
