I love Willow's dark, suspenseful books, but this softer, gentler side is fantastic too. Tequila Rose is the first book of the duet, and it's a sweet, small-town romance that gripped my heart from the first pages.

After being dumped by her boyfriend, Magnolia decides the best way to overcome her heartbreak is to get drunk and hook up with a stranger for one night. So when she meets Brody at the bar, he immediately charms her and they seem to have an instant connection. Their conversation flows easily and they end up having an amazing night together. But fate has other plans for Magnolia, and the next morning one phone call turns her life upside down completely.

After four years, Magnolia and Brody meet again, and he is faced with a big surprise. Their interactions are heartwarming. They still feel that raw attraction towards each other, but she has been through a lot since moving back to her hometown and it's not easy to date when the entire town is watching your every movement. It's safe to say that doesn't deter Brody from pursuing the girl he's been thinking about for too long.

The story is fast-paced, peppered with romantic and laugh out moments, but also angst, lies, and secrets. There's also a second love interest thrown into the mix, and I'm curious to see how things will play out in the next instalment. I recommend grabbing this book if you like second chance romances!
