Giana Darling has knocked it out of the park with this steamy, suspenseful, heart-gripping, and entertaining first book in the Anti-Heroes in Love Duet. The romance between Elena and Dante is a delicious slow burn, and when they finally collide, the heat meter explodes. After getting to know Dante in the Enslaved duet, I was really excited to finally read his story, and damn, it was better than I expected. He's a perfect match with Elena. The ruthless capo with a heart of gold and the ambitious, prim, and proper lawyer who grew up around mafia men and has tried to distance herself as much as possible from their corrupt world. But life had other plans for her and either by fate or human machinations, hers and Dante's paths collided, and he brought down the icy walls around her heart. Told in dual POV, the story unfolds in a steady-paced, leaving room for character development. The plotline is suspenseful enough to keep you on your toes, and the sexy scenes are over the charts hot. It was an addictive read that kept me up past my bedtime. Their story has just begun, and I am really excited to see how it will unfold.
