Gothikana is a deliciously atmospheric dark academia story that instantly draws you into its captivating gothic darkness. The opening chapter immediately caught my attention and I haven't been able to put it down until the last page. The vivid descriptions of Verenmore University, the surrounding forest, the rumors behind its tragic history, the forbidden romance, all were beautifully presented, and it was easy to imagine those scenes before my eyes.

I loved the romantic relationship that blossomed between Corvina and Vad. It started as a slow burn, but the way it developed, each interaction, and the constant tension made it worthwhile. They had amazing chemistry, and I could almost feel the push and pull between them. I am a sucker for morally grey characters and Vad is my new favorite.

Steeped in mysticism, with sultry encounters between the protagonists and fascinating imagery, this book is definitely a must-read. I'm looking forward to whatever comes next for this fabulous world Runyx has created.
